Hale ‘I’iwi (pronounced “Ha-lay Eee-ee-vee”) is a cozy, 2 bedroom, 1 bath private country home located within the lush fern forest of Volcano Village on the Big Island of Hawai’i.

Hale ‘I’iwi is beautiful and comfortably furnished, with rooms painted warm, rich colors. Complete with television, VCR, stereo, internet/DSL, a fully equipped kitchen, full bath, a glass-front gas fireplace in the living room, washer and dryer; everything you need to feel “at home” is provided. Owned by an author and artist whose work is exhibited throughout the island, the walls are covered with block prints depicting Hawaiian mythology.

Enjoy reading from a collection of books on Hawaiiana, listening to Hawaiian music, and making your own music on the “house guitar.” Hale ‘I’iwi is just minutes from Hawaii Volcanoes National Park

Our backyard borders on the Kilauea Forest Reserve, home to many native bird species, and birdwatchers will delight in seeing a variety of honeycreepers. Hale ‘I’iwi sleeps five comfortably and is great for families or a romantic getaway.

$125.00/Night double occupancy + $20 per Additional Person; One night deposit required to hold reservation. 30+days prior to arrival date will receive a refund less a 15% cancellation fee. 15-29 days prior to arrival date will receive a 50% refund. 7-14 days prior to your arrival date will receive a 25% refund. Cancellations received less than one week to arrival date will forfeit payment. There is a $30.00 cleaning fee.
